Privacy Policy

The Gnivas privacy policy is simple. Unless you identify yourself, we do not know who you are. We do not make an effort to find out who you are.

Gnivas is a participant in the Google AdSense and other third party advertising and marketing company programs. As a member of these programs, Gnivas is required to inform you that while Gnivas does not make an effort to identify you, by you clicking on advertisements, links, search functions, or other third party products on the Gnivas site, third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your browser to collect information, in the course of ads being served on this website. You have several options for cookie management, depending on your browser software.

In addition to this general information, what follows is some more specific information relating to Google AdSense. Concerning Google and what it calls the DoubleClick DART cookie:

  • Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site.
  • Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

 

 

While we at Gnivas have a hard time understanding why anyone would want to try and use this site as a way to gather personal information about visitors, we want to clearly state that we will fully cooperate with any bona fide law enforcement agency in investigations of any attempts to gather such information.

Regarding disclosures pursuant to the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, no member of the Gnivas staff receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product.  As stated previously, Gnivas is a participant in third party advertising and marketing programs.  Gnivas does receive commissions on sales referred to merchants from these programs, such as comparison web sites (tools for shoppers to compare similar or same products from several different merchants).  Gnivas also receives commissions on sales referred to merchants who have a stand alone marketing program.  These are direct relations between Gnivas and the individual company and are not affiliated with a third party.
